New customer portal and online deferment application process now available

From today, February 22nd 2016, Erudio Student Loans is launching several new features to its website making it easier for customers to access their accounts 24-hours a day. Erudio customers will be able to access their account details online, allowing them to review their balance, make card repayments, set up a Direct Debit and complete a deferment application.

The new portal provides customers with 24-hours a day access to their accounts. It will allow greater flexibility in the management of their student loans and can be accessed via a desktop computer, laptop, tablet and smart phone.

The second feature, and an industry first for mortgage-style student loan accounts, will allow customers to apply for deferment online. Customers will still be able to complete a paper Deferment Application Form (DAF) if that is their preference and Erudio will continue to contact customers eight weeks before their deferment period is due to end to ensure they have sufficient time to apply for deferment.

The online version requests exactly the same information as the paper form and has handy hints throughout to help guide customers and explain any terminology. As part of the online application process, customers can save their progress and return to complete it at a later time. One of the benefits of completing the form online is a customer can upload any supporting evidence, which can then be submitted instantly removing any delays caused by sending it through the post.

The website uses an EV SSL (Extended Validation Secure Sockets Layer) certificate which offers the highest available levels of trust and authentication. All card payments are processed in compliance with PCI-DSS (Payment Card Industry – Data Security Standard).
